Office de la Marine Marchande et des Ports 
Ms. Khaoula Belakhdhar, Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Merchant Marine and Ports (OMMP), participated on April 23, 2025, in Green Marine Med, held in Tangier—a Mediterranean forum dedicated to sustainability in the maritime sector.
Speaking as part of a panel focused on the environmental challenges of maritime transport in the Mediterranean, Ms. Belakhdhar presented several key topics of the action program of OMMP which falls within the strategy of the Ministry of Transport namely :
- the integration of sustainability into the development of port infrastructure,
- the projects and initiatives implemented to reduce the environmental footprint of maritime transport,
- and the challenges encountered in adopting greener transport solutions.
She also highlighted OMMP’s collaborative efforts with other Mediterranean countries to harmonize actions in favor of maritime sustainability.
This intervention showcased OMMP’s commitment to the ecological transition of the port sector and its active involvement in regional efforts toward a greener, more sustainable, and responsible maritime transport system.
