The port of Zarzis welcomed on 06 July 2023 the second crossing out of a total of 9 crossings planned for the current summer season, where the ship Carthage arrived from the port of Marseille with 2129 passengers and 617 cars on board in good and comfortable conditions that pleased travelers in terms of quality of services and speed of services transit procedures . This new passenger shipping line was inaugurated in 2017 and has created a more dynamic and commercial activity.
The services of the OMMP have made great efforts for the success of this investment by developing the infrastructure by setting up a ferry terminal that covers 4.5 hectares; With a capacity of 600 cars, a room for the treatment of pedestrian passengers equipped with scanner, a waiting room and a hall of honor and providing all the necessary services.
