Safety starts at sea, in accordance with rules.
Already in the roads, a VTS in the busiest ports, La Goulette and Rades, takes in charge the ship and does not leave it until its docking. Other VTS will be set up in the ports of Bizerte, Sfax and Gabès.

THE SAFETY OF THE SHIP AND ITS CARGO IS GUARANTEED
The port authority takes charge of the ship’s Safety and more in particular the prevention of accidents and organization of fire-fighting measures.

THE RISK IS CONTROLLED
Identifying the risk …
Special Safety measures are taken for each loading or unloading operation of oil products (crude and refined), chemical products and dangerous products. The port operators and officers of each port are thus able to identify the goods and the nature of the risk liable to occur, as well as the measures to be taken to prevent or fight said risk.

REINFORCING SAFETY IN THE PORTS THROUGH …
The assessment of the Safety and the vulnerability of the ports
Identification and the possible risk analysis on the environment.
The setting up of a plan of intervention and the adequate means.
The training of the harbor staff and the periodic exercise multiplication and simulation.
